The originally-planned route of my ride followed thirteen waypoints: each of the cities where a Federal Reserve Banks is located, plus Washington D.C. – the site of the Fed’s Board of Governors. I had to curtail the trip by about 2 weeks, in order to return to Cleveland to run for U.S. Congress. I hope eventually to finish what I started, and visit the Fed headquarters in D.C.

I am starting my trip in Boston, and will make my way across the U.S. and back, in a roughly clock-wise route. I will visit the main cities in this order: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond, Atlanta, Dallas, St. Louis, Kansas City, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, and Washington. Along the way, I’ll be stopping in smaller towns, documenting the experiences I have, and trying to draw attention to people and places related both to my issue (monetary policy) and to the issues of other grass-roots movements. I’ll update the map below to show where I’ve been and where I’m going. If you have any suggestions for places I should visit, please contact me!

In addition to distributing a short pamphlet I’ve written concerning the monetary system, I also hope to meet as many people as possible, from all different cultural and political backgrounds. I want to see my country and understand what life is like for people in different locales. Having spent most of my life in the Boston and Cleveland areas, I know that my own experience is limited, and that I have a lot to learn from my fellow citizens. I will take pictures, tell stories, and provide links to other websites that may be of interest to those of us who feel that protecting and improving our country is the right and the duty of every American.
